Positive: Exceptional location. Ideal for needs and dog walking. Lots of green space to explore. Wildlife in immediate vicinity. Next to Natural Park of Aberlady.

Negative: No basic welcome pack, I.e milk in fridge.

Positive: Location was perfect for us. Lovely surroundings and very private. The house is comfortable and spacious. It could accommodate 6 adults with ease. Its a short drive to lovely beaches, a nature reserve etc

Negative: A few kitchen staples (olive oil, better coffee) would have been a nice touch. It is not an inexpensive property to rent so those things help. Also information about the area and suggestions of where you might visit.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay and the house added to the visit.

Positive: It’s a beautiful property but it is starting to look a bit tired in places: ie. In the largest bedroom there is a handle missing from the chest of drawers, the bathroom is desperate for a refit, and the single beds are off for a man bedroom with loose and rather annoying headboards. The other two bedrooms are fine although again I found it strange there wasn’t a double bed in the room with French door but instead in the room with only two chicken as a outlook. However the other two bathrooms were nice (bath could be changed tho). We also found the floors a bit dirty. Overall we slept well, enjoyed the views and had a really nice time. Obviously we had issues with a scheduled power cut which hadn’t been relayed. However this was dealt with promptly by Carol.

Summary: A few days of rest in a good property which needs a little attention in places.

Positive: Lovely location for our needs, interesting history, good for walks and peaceful setting.

Negative: The hot water for the two bedrooms was not working and wasn't fixed until the day before we vacated the property. The Wi-Fi connection was poor. Travelling with two young children, the floors did not seem to have been properly cleaned as feet/socks/knees on clothing dirty from crawling and walking. Headboards in twin room, to the left of lounge, were not fixed to the beds and due to castors on the beds and unable to be locked, the beds had a tendency to move very easily. It would have been nice to have had some information of the walks around the Luffness estate and into Aberlady etc.

Summary: Pleasant stay but let down by issues with some facilities.
